ABOUT
Dellanee Wade is a graphic designer, businesswoman, and instructor based in Louisiana. Wade and her business partner launched their creative agency, Maltshop Marketing, in 2019. In addition to her business, she is an Adjunct Instructor at the University of Louisiana at Monroe (ULM), University of Arkansas at Monticello (UAM), and Southern University at Shreveport (SUSLA). She is the Graphic Designer of Get Social With Teja, a creative and social media agency based in Los Angeles, CA, focused on social justice and political awareness that uplifts black and brown communities. Wade earned her MFA in Graphic Design from Louisiana Tech University and a BA in Communication with a concentration in New Media Design from Centenary College of Louisiana in Shreveport. Inspired by the design world, Dellanee's work allows her to explore the qualities of visual material through image-making techniques to improve the communities in which we live and work.
Dellanee is heavily involved in the community, from solo exhibitions to professional organizations, such as the Young Professionals Initiative (YPI), People Acting for Change and Equality (PACE), the American Business Women's Association, Public Relations Association of Louisiana (PRAL), and the Shreveport-Bossier African-American and Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce. She has received 22 ADDY Awards, including the 2023 MOSAIC Award for Shreveport-Bossier's Black Restaurant Week. Since 2015, she has been an active member of the American Advertising Federation of Shreveport-Bossier. She serves her seventh year on the executive board as the VP I and Education Chair.
